About Sleepless in the Valley

Hi, I'm Jaclyn, the face behind Sleepless in the Valley, LLC.

I was born, raised and currently live with my family in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Family Studies (think home economics + marriage and family relations + child development). I taught as a preschool teacher for 5 years and worked as a nanny for the same family for 14 years.

I was always getting asked to nanny for more families, but I couldn't clone myself. I took on two other families when my original family only needed me for after school work but it still didn't feel like I was meant to nanny forever. I wanted to help more people on a bigger scale so I earned my certification as a pediatric sleep consultant. This is my way of helping many families simultaneously, changing lives for the better.
